totally discouraged

Ever heard "one step forward, two steps back"?

Well, try "one step forward, three steps back".

...........The past two months.....any wonder I am discouraged?

Dream on........it may be all you will get............

Almost one month to the day since I have blogged...

Feels like at least two months, maybe more.  Never, ever get sick mid-term.  It is as if I was never in this class, nor attended a seminar, since only one person spoke to me last week (bless her heart).
Honestly, I can assure you, if you have never actually lived the experience one does, then you have no voice to speculate, no right to criticize or judge.  Yet so many do...the all-knowing, opinionated, and self-righteous "do-gooders" of this pretentious planet.  Encouragement is non-existent in this environment.  Not of my world ... I prefer Jesus' world...He taught Love.

Dreamin' again..

This will be an interesting week, to say the least.  Tons of typing/keyboarding to do, and the right hand is totally useless.  Still numb, and no coordination.  And, no one to key in the words that I could dictate.
All I can do is all I can do sometimes....keep on dreamin'....you never know what tomorrow will bring your way.

March 08, 2010

Hi everyone out there!  Hope everyone else is having a whole lot more fun than I am right now.  Cannot wait until this hyponatremia  is behind me (forever!)
If I didn't have friends from Alaska visiting at this time, I would be in big trouble here alone.  My Doctor said it would take me at least a month to get back to my normal functioning level.  That was a few days before her nurse called and told me my sodium level is (still or again) too low.
Sure am wishing everyone else good health and happiness.  Take care,  and keep dreamin........... ;)

Recuperating from "Hell Week"

At my follow-up or post-hospital checkup with my Doctor yesterday, the news was not what I wanted to hear. Oh well, sometimes all I can do is all I can do". Realistically, because of my senior age, unfortunately it will take me approximately one month to get back to my norm. One of the times when age is working against me.
I just keep on keepin' on and push myself to do as much as I possible can each day. Hope none of you ever have to experience this. Caution! Insist on regular blood monitoring if ever you must take diuretics!
I see myself progressing bit by bit , day by day. This is a good thing. Unfortunately, every day will not be a better day - just part of the process, I understand.

Kaplan is a blessing right now, as my assignments are demanding I try my best to stay on top of the workload, if at all possible. 'Til next time............be well and happy. TS

Major Setback

This has been a horrible week for me ..................it all started with severe , cramping pains mostly in my legs and lower lumbar area , yet all over my body also. I could not sleep, function, and started experiencing mental confusion to the point that I could not type on my computer, or even move about without total uncoordinated movements. I ended up in the hospital with a dangerously low sodium level. They administered continuous iv sodium chloride solution for two days to bring my level back up within a normal range. l
Just begged a ride home when they finally discharged me yesterday and am currently staggering around here trying to take care of my two little critters and maintain a vertical position. It is a horrible experience being this uncoordinated-like a preview of what post-stroke could be like.
However, like alsways I'll just "keep on keepin' on" and it's got to get better. One thing I have my sheer stubborn persistence going for me!

Have a great weekend!

Another sunny day in SW Arizona! (Don't let anyone kid you, it froze last night!)
I am trying really hard to get through the day - still not functioning well on a physical level. Difficult and slow to type, so bear with me.
Wishing my hot tub was functioning, but still need someone that knows what they're doing with electrical things.
Think this will be short today. Have a Valentine's Day full of love on Sunday!
Later, then........
